1. What is a Gateway?

Gateway is a hardware device which enables customer to make international call through Internet Protocol (VoIP) without a computers.

2. What is the difference between Vebtel different port gateways?

Basically there is no difference between the Vebtel’s different port gateways. The more number of ports enable you to make more number of concurrent calls.

3. Do more ports mean more clarity and quality of calls?

The call quality and clarity will remain the best irrespective of number of ports.  The more number of ports provide access for having multiple calling facility.

4. What other hardware devices are compatible with
Vebtel SIP platform?

We support the following hardware devices:

- Quintum / Tenor

5. What is the basic difference between Public IP and Private IP?

Public IPs are the IP assigned by the Internet Service Provider and which are accessible globally.

Private IPs are the IP assigned locally by the Local System/Network administrator and which are not globally accessible.

6. Can Vebtel provide Internet services and IPs?

Vebtel
is a licensed Internet Service Provider (ISP).

Vebtel can offer Internet bandwidth to any customer ranging between 64 Kbps-2048 Kbps and more through any last mile connectivity. The last mile connectivity can be provided using a Leased Line offered by BSNL/Tata Indicom/Reliance etc any Fixed Telephony service provider, Managed Leased Line Network (MLLN) offered by BSNL, 2.4 GHz Point-to-Point and Point-to-Multipoint Microwave Radio and Fiber optics.

Internet services can be offered to any customer, irrespective of him being a Vebtel Telephony customer.

7. Does Vebtel Provide any after sales service on hardware?

As a Service provider, we are more focused on Customer Satisfaction. Keeping in mind the technicalities involved we do provide after Sale support to our customer on our hardware device’s.

8. What do I do if I get echo and low volume during a call?

Echo’s are caused by configuring higher input/output gain in the device. This can be fine tuned by adjusting input/output gain. For any further technical assistance contact our customer care.

9. I am getting One-Way communication, what do I do now?

Kindly check your Internet Bandwidth, first

If you are calling a mobile number the voice transfer also depends upon the local mobile Service Operator of the called destination. For any further assistance, contact
Vebtel Customer Care.

10. There is no call clarity, what do I do now?

Preliminarily, check your Internet cable physical connectivity.  Check your Internet quality by doing ping test to any site.  For further assistance, kindly contact customer care.

11. Why do I get a delay in voice?

Preliminarily, Check the Internet bandwidth quality by doing the ping test. Higher the latency more the delay in voice. The recommended latency is below 400ms for good voice quality.

1. What are the System specification requirements for Vebtel soft dialer?

2. Is Internet connection Compulsory?

For availing any of the Vebtel Service’s, Internet connection is compulsory.

3. What Internet connection should I require?

Dedicated Internet connection from any of the Internet Service Provider with good quality bandwidth, low latency and low packet loss.

4. What is the minimum bandwidth required for Vebtel Soft Dialer?

The recommended minimum bandwidth for Vebtel Soft dialer is 20kbps.

5. How do I check the internet Quality?

You can check the internet quality by pinging to any of the sites like: www.yahoo.com or vsip.vebtel.net.

Go to command prompt and type Ping vsip.vebtel.net -t (remember the required space on this command) check whether you are getting the reply from the IP without much packet loss (request timed out).

6. How to download and Install a Vebtel Soft Dialer?

Dialer Download Procedure: 
- Go to www.vebtel.com
- Click on Download Dialer Option.
- Select the destination to save the Vebtel Dialer.exe. file appeared.
- Click on "Save" it will start to download from the site to the local computer.
- The Vebtel Dialer.exe file will appear in the destination where you have downloaded, name "Vebtel Dialer"
- Double click the Vebtel Dailer.exe downloaded file on your computer .
- Continuously click on "Next" button until you get "Installation completed" message.
- Click "OK"
Your Vebtel soft dialer is ready on your computer desktop more making international calls.

7. How do I use the dialer?

- Double click on the installed dialer on your desktop.
- Enter Vebtel account number and pin number.
- Click on "Login" option.
- Dial any international number and click on "Call" button and enjoy your international calls with best sound clarity and quality.

8. How do I make outgoing calls from my Soft Dialer?

Dial any international number without any "zeros" as prefix.  For eg. Dialing USA number 001-707-780-3030.  You dial 17077803030 (i.e. Country code + City code + Number).

9. How do I check my Audio Wizard?

Login to Vebtel Soft dialer. Click on "a" button, which can be located in the centre of the dialer. It will take you to Audio Tuning Wizard.

10. Can I use my Vebtel dialer globally?

Vebtel
provide’s you with the flexibility of using the pre-paid calling cards anywhere in the world. i.e. you can access your account globally by downloading the
Vebtel soft dialer from our website www.vebtel.com.

11. Why does voice breaks during a call?

The quality and clarity of voice entirely depends on your Internet bandwidth.  Kindly check the Internet quality from your Internet Service Provider.  If your bandwidth is fluctuating, you will experience breakages in the voice.

12. What do I do if I get the following error message in soft dialer?

We did not detect Run time files on this system, please download it now.

13. Error Opening Sound Card?

This means your soundcard is not working properly. Or you have half duplex sound card. Check your soundcard drivers and install full duplex sound card. Or else your sound card might be in use with some other applications like voice chat.

14. Invalid Account Number and Pin Number?

The reason could be that you might be using invalid account or invalid password. Please check your account and pin number then try.

15. Not able open the Dialer?

You might have opened another VOIP service provider dialer, please close all other dialers and try again.

16. Error in Web sock bind or 5060 / 5070?

There could be a possibility of blocking the SIP port 5060 / 5070 from your Internet Service Provider.

17. Error in rtp_lockbind?

There could be a possibility of blocking RTP/RTCP ports (23000 - 23023) from your Internet Service Provider.

18. Error in rtp_slockbind get sock name?

If your voice applications are already in use, please close those applications and then try your call.

1. How do I buy
Vebtel calling cards?
As we have our cards widely available in the market for your convenience at major stores through our appointed distributors.  However there is another convenient way for getting our unique calling cards through "Online" in our website, www.vebtel.com.

2. Would any documentation be required for obtaining
Vebtel Pre-paid cards?
With
Vebtel pre-paid you do not have to go through the inconvenience of filling up the documents. For you a hassle free Vebtel pre-paid calling cards.

3. What are the available denominations of calling cards?
We have different denominations of calling cards to suit your requirements. Keeping in the comfort of our valued customers we have given the lowest card value of Rs.100. The other available denominations are Rs.250, Rs.500, Rs.1000, Rs.2500, Rs.5000 and Rs.10,000.

Vebtel cards are pre-paid or post-paid?
Currently we are providing prepaid calling cards to our esteemed customers. However, we keep trying new innovations and if any such options are available we shall keep you updated.

5. How much will be my talk time in a calling card?
We value you and your money, and to get the best value for your money we provide the best talk time. There is only a Service Tax deduction @ 10.2% on any calling card purchase. However, the calling value depends on the destination you called.

6. How do I dial an International Number?
While dialing any international number, do not add "zeros" in front of the number. Please follow the below process to dial.
Eg.: 17077803030 if you would like to dial USA

7. Will I be charged the same price throughout the day and night?
Vebtel does not offer any peak or off-peak charges with prepaid cards, you have a flat rate irrespective of the time, which as such is very cost effective.

8. Can I recharge or update my
Vebtel Account?
Absolutely you can recharge your account through our recharge voucher available in different denomination as per your requirement and convenience. 

9. Can I recharge my expired
Vebtel account?
We advise you to keep your account active because if your account expires you will not be able to reactivate the same and any balance will be foregone.

10. How do I renew my account?

Procedure for renewing your
Vebtel account.
- Log on to www.vebtel.com
- Click on "Recharge Account" option
- Enter your account number and web password.
- Click "Login"
- If you are first time user, you get an option to change password.
- Then enter into account by giving the changed password.
- Now, enter your old card details and the recharge card details.
- The new card amount and validation days will get added to your existing account number.

11. Which account to be used once I renew my existing account
Kindly use your existing account number only for making calls, if you renewed your account with a new
Vebtel recharge voucher.

12. How are my calls charged?
The calls charges are based on the destination. Different locations have different tariff structure. Rates for various destinations can be obtained from the website www.vebtel.com by clicking on the Check Tariff and choosing the requisite destination.

13. Can I make Domestic calls (within India) using
Vebtel Calling Cards?
Vebtel provide access to international calls only with cheapest rates. Vebtel does not offer calling within India.

14. Will I be charged same, if I purchase
Vebtel Calling Card Online?
The charges are same for
Vebtel cards across the country. Even if you purchase the calling cards online via our website.

15. What is my Account balance, where can I get my account details? How do I check my account details/ Call Detail Records (CDR)?
Procedure to Check Account Balance/Call Details Records:
- Log on to www.vebtel.com
- Enter your account number and web password.
- Click "Login"
- If you are first time user, you get an option to change password.
- Then enter into account by giving the changed password.
- Click "CDR Browser" option.
- Select the From and To date/month/year of which you would like to view the call details.
- Click "Show CDR" Button.
- All the call details pertaining to the selected Date/Month/Year will be displayed.
- You also check the account balance.
 

Direct Inward Dialing (DID) NUMBER:

1. Which countries DID number I can obtain?
Currently, we can offer, San Francisco Numbers, USA and very shortly we shall be offering UK numbers for our Customers.

2. What are basic requirement for obtaining a DID number?
The basic requirement to obtain DID number are:
- Public IP and good bandwidth.
- Vebtel Gateway.

3. Can I make outgoing call from the same port?
You can use your DID facility not only for receiving inbound calls but also for making outgoing calls from the same port, but the charges will not be the same as the calling card rate sheet.

4. Can I have CLI facility of displaying my DID while making outbound calls?
Vebtel
also give you an added feature of having the CLI displayed when you make out going calls using the DID facility.

5. Can I have hunting facility and Voice mail?
Hunting facility and voicemail are the unique feature’s which can be added to your DID number with a nominal monthly fee/rental.
